I would like to suggest just before we export our selected categories/items that we see what it would cost for our insertion fee's. This prompted me because I chose a theme design of which there is an extra insertion fee aside from the normal item insertion fee.
This cost me and extra $750 of insertion charges which could have been avoided by cancelling the export had I saw the cost of the insertions.
I think this would be a great idea - if only we could be aware of extra charges that would be a good help.

In this case you want to get fee before export - you should be ready to wait some time.
In this case we need to send more info to start calculation of fee. This is 2 way trip process.

We can't get insertion fee before post - according to eBay specification. You should wait.

I was thinking that there are fee's that are other than regular insertion fee's we are charged for like adding a theme to a listing or a picture gallery - is it possible to display these fee's or just an indicator that displays "There are additional charges for this export - do you want to continue" It would give us an indication that we have chosen extra charges.

I would think you would have to have parameters set in order to calculate the fee's. The fee's are based upon your store type and selling level. The different store subscription determines your insertion fee's. I think you can already pull this information now? Or, you could have a table with the various store subscriptions fee's. Depending on which subscription level the user chooses - the insertion fee's would be associated.
