When deactivating a product, There should be a choice to redirect to the parent category as a choice to a new product as it is for the moment. Also be able to mass change the deactivation with redirect from list. And be forced to go via the product main page.

Thanks for a suggestion and vote, Henrik!
Are you talking about redirecting to the special category of Product Grid?
See screenshot - pic Product-grid.png
P.S. Right now you can disable products in the bulk - see Mass Changer option screenshot.
yes I know you can mass disable products,, but,, if you do it in mass, you cant choose redirection of the products. If you have set the redirection to "parent category" you disable in bulk product automatically also with redirection.. This must be the smartest way.

Thanks for an explanation, Henrik.
Let's clarify once more: are you talking about redirecting inside of PrestaShop Store Manager ( software ) not BackEnd ?

I think what he means is in the screenshot. Would be a good idea, even though I think Prestashop does not support that.
Are you talking about adding rule in the .htaccess to forward such request by Store Manager ?

This is exactly what we are doing right now.
We created sample products as categories and we redirect them to each category through htaccess.
This is a quick and straightforward solution, but not everyone can implement that.
Prestashop itself does not support redirection to a category.

Hm.. very interesting solution.
You are right.
From my side, I'll try to add your suggestion and discuss with our team according to the ability of implementation.

I don't know if it can be implemented, but it's a good solution that Henrik asking at the OP could work on even now.
