I've just updated to the latest version and I've noticed that an option I need is no longer where it was. I'm hoping that its been moved somewhere else and I cant find it.
I was updating my suppliers using the 'Suppliers' drop down within the 'Advanced Modifier' in the 'Mass Product Changer' but its not there anymore.
How can I change the suppliers for multiple products at once?
Thanks.

Hello Mr Karl Beales,
The latest versions of Store Manager for PrestaShop are compatible with multi supplier feature of PrestaShop 1.5, 1.6 versions.
Mass Product Changer will allows to change Suppliers only for 1.4 PrestaShop versions.
In order to mass change Suppliers for 1.5 and 1.6 shopping cart versions, you may use export and import.

Hi,
Thanks for replying.
That's a real shame. I was using it to save me a lot of time.
Mass Product changer definitely used to change suppliers with 1.5 because I use 1.5 and have been changing suppliers with it for over a year now.
Not sure why you would take it out as it now means that instead of it taking me seconds to change the supplier of multiple products in one go I now have to spend an age creating an import document just for the products I need to change.
Not sure who's idea it was but it's not a great one.
Thanks for replying anyway even if its not good news.

Hello Mr Karl Beales,
The functionality has not been removed from Store Manager and it still works for PrestaShop 1.3.x and 1.4.x versions.
PrestaShop 1.5 and 1.6 offer enhanced supplier management which requires another approach for Store Manager which has not been implemented yet.

Hi,
I really appreciate your reply but sorry, however you word 'enhanced supplier management' it still means that by removing something simple in Mass Product Changer I now have to to spend hours creating import files instead of minutes shift - selecting products.
It used to work with 1.5 and now it does not, so yes, it has been removed.
Whoever thought that removing it was a great idea has wasted hours of my time so you will have to forgive me for being snappy.
Why remove something that worked so well? It makes me wish that as a loyal customer I hadn't spent money on the update service. It's cost me more money for less functionality.
Please fix.

Hello Mr Karl Beales,
In earlier PrestaShop versions (till 1.4) all suppliers entries were stored in 1 table - "ps_supplier" which contained supplier's ID, name, status and dates: http://screencast.com/t/JYsp3QaDLQi
Supplier's relation to the product has been specified only in 1 field of "ps_product" table, which could be easily changed with the Mass Product Changer: http://screencast.com/t/D4Bh042j
Since version 1.5.x PrestaShop allowed to assign multiple suppliers with their unique supplier references to a product and even to its attributes. All these data is kept in a separate table "ps_product_supplier": http://screencast.com/t/gomyLi8yQ which contains a way more entries and relations than "ps_supplier".
In case the Mass Product Changer would allow to assign products to 1 supplier in the Advanced Modifier all previous relations (with unique references, wholesale prices) would be erased.
It requires a major changes in the source code of Store Manager to make the Mass Product Changer work with multisuppliers.
Product supplier still can be changed in a few minutes using export-import.
There is no need to spend hours to prepare a new .csv file as this can be done in a few steps:
1. Select the items you need and right click at them in order to Export Selected Products: http://screencast.com/t/blU5BBioxIn
2. Add only "Product ID" field: http://screencast.com/t/eyqqzacb36q and proceed with export to receive a file containing ID's of the items you would like to assign to the supplier.
3. Once the export process has been completed, run Import/Export Wizard, press at Import option and load recently imported file.
4. At step "Assign .csv Columns to Database Fields" select Product ID as an identifier and set a supplier name as a default value: http://screencast.com/t/I4TB1TXEYG1
5. Proceed with import.
That's it.

Hi,
Appreciate the detailed response.
It's not as easy as it once was but I will try it.
