I am not clear on how the importing function is meant to work.
Does the software import the csv file directly into the server and add/create new items?
Or does the import process merely import the csv file back into the store/categories & products page of the emagicone software?
I was of the opinion I could make changes to my products within the emagicone software, export that into a csv file and then import it into the server via the emagicone software thereby replacing the x-cart import screen.
That concept will not work for me but I am not clear if the emagicone software is supposed to replace the x-cart import screen and import direcly to the server where the website resides.

When you say preview the changes at the on-line store I assume you mean just to check the on-line store if I choose to do so. The import process brings the data into the x-cart store manager and the on-line store at the same time. Once I Import the revised data from the csv file is live on the website if the import process was done correctly.
