We're managing our products in a mySQL database as the lowest common denominator for product documentation, sales templates and so on. Importing into StoreManager requires an export of this data into temporary files what makes the whole process unnecessarily complex and unwieldy.
It should be possible to use other sources, then local files only, to manage imports by the StoreManager.
