Export products to .xls with more detail?

Hi, I currently have under 1,000 products and the export to .xls feature would be handy to use as my default stock management and product catalog updater. It only exports a certain amount of fields however, is there a way to add more fields to the export. I know I can use .csv but just a little trickier to work with. If I could add fields like image URL, Weight, Size etc I could quickly see what info is missing that needs to be added.

Can it be done?
