Hi team,

This request escalated from the discussion between Mr. Volodymyr and me in ticket no. DBC-ZAUOI-450.

Please note having Store Manager prompting this kind of message is very important for the user, especially when process is taking huge amount of time to complete like ours and that more then 10h.

We usually run re-index procedure over night, when traffic is lighter on the server, but when we return in the morning we do not know if process is done successfully or there have been some issues and errors on the server. Displaying this kind of notification to user is a must would you agree?

Thank you.

Hello Dean!
Well, let's say - "No news is good news" in this case there is no message after Re-index - it's ok.
For example - your server was down. In this case you' ve got message - "Problem with connection to server .... "
By the way, what do you see after copy process from folder B to folder B ? In this situation there are notification reports after copying.

ok , in your case, what additional info do you want to see in this report, Dean ?

I agree with you partially and I do understand the point.

however, I think this 2 situations cant be equal.

After coping some data from folder A to folder B, you doesn't receive msg, true, but you can always go to folder B and
check if that data (files) are copied or not.

Here I cant check if all indexes are made or not that is the problem.

Although both SM and back office are showing that all indexes are present that is not the case when searching the front end, so in this case SM didnt report any msg which means process of rebuilding entire index when fine.
When you look at the SM and BO it does show 5589/5589 products are in index but when you search them on the website some of the products are missing from the search results.

What can be wrong?
