In this case you filter products by Products Search -
see screenshot - http://screencast.com/t/gyktY5maNKjg
Uncheck all fields and select necessary field only - for example - "Show Price"
Enter 1 for search (it means - status = 1 = yes = active)
After that click on Search and Filter button.
Thus, you can get filtered products in the Product Grid.
All the same you can do for other fields.
