Whilst the mass changer is fantastic for making quick price changes and auto-calculating new prices, there is no way to revert these prices simply when a promotion ends; if a price is discounted by 10% and then rounded to the nearest £5 by the mass changer, no amount of auto calculation can be sure put it back to the exact price.
Storing historic pricing information opens up many possibilities to offer simple short term pricing withouth the need for other databases or software.
