mass assign customer groups to multiple categories

I've created new customer group. But customers from those group can't get access to my products till the associated catgories are associated with that group (group access on your category EDIT screen). I can't do it manually because i've 1784 categories.... i need to be be able to mass select categories and assign them one or more customer group

Good news for you! :-)

Right now you'll be able to update all categories in few seconds by Store Manager for PrestaShop.
How does it work?

step 1 - Export categories
step 2 - Change group name acc. to your Group
step 3- Import CSV file with changed Group.
step 3.1 Don't' forget to assign 2 fields- Cat. Name and group_name
Done..

I hope this hack will help you to assign groups quickly.

P.S. Don't forget to make backup before import, just in case.

Nevertheless, i would leave this feature request open as when you have many categories and want to use the category tree to make partial assignment, its muche more easy in a grid with selection possibilities than in CSV import/export with file change.
