2 options:
1 - to add Features in the Search window
2 - to add Features in the Product Grid Window. Please note - new extra fields will slow down program performance in this case. see screenshot.

We have the same issue .Today: 9-2-2016 we post also a suggestion for the disire to be able for search in the Datasheet """Features"" of products.We have to edit 5000 product and connect them to : ""manufactures'' ""supliers'' & ""categories"".The needed data content information is only located inside the "" Features"" of the products.
For now it will take us more then (1000 hours to find the disired products maualy).
This suggestion will be a good improvement of the Prestashop Manager program.

That is also a good idea from you sir.To work with only selected features (pre programmed by shop owner admin).it will be even more useable then search in the whole datasheet.
