Running the latest version (2.10.0 Build 750), when I select products and copy them to the clipboard (enabling all the options) and after I go to another category or another Shop and paste the products, only the information of the language in which they were copied is pasted, even though if the target language is different (in this case they are pasted in the wrong language).

In fact, if I change the "Store Language" in the Prestashop Manager the products dissapear (as do they dissapear on the frontend), and are only visible when running the shop on the store language in which they were pasted.

It's not good idea copy-paste of data - PS 1.4 --> Ps 1.5 Because of different structures of store
We don't provide copy-paste support for different versions (1.4 - 1.5)
We provide support within the same version.
In you case you should use export-import operation.

Ok, since it did not throw any warning or error I did not know it was not supported. For 1 or 2 products export/import operation is a bit :S, but I understand.

You are quite right! This task (Notification of Copy-Paste between ver.14. - 1.5) was added by me in list of future tasks.

FYI, between 1.5 -> another 1.5 shop it does not work either. It only copies the data of current store language. I just tested. Select any product that has data in several languages in a PS 1.5 shop -> change to another PS 1.5 shop -> change the store language to a different one than the one the product was copied from (so you can see what I am talking about) -> paste the product. You will see it pastes the data in source language to the target language, which is wrong, and nothing gets pasted into the other languages (even if they were also in source shop).

If you can't reproduce it with these instructions you can check on Teamviewer on my PC.

Simpler test: copy product -> change store language -> paste product. See what happens.

Hello Yosh!
We have special schedule for development and testing, Your suggestion was added in the line.
For a while, could you explain what type of behavior do you want from copy-paste with language in details?
For example:
I've got the following languages:
Step 1
- English - default
- French - additional lang.

Step 2
Switch to additional lang - French and copy product

Step 3
Switch to default lang. and paste product

Step 4
The following info should be inserted:
Product name (type of lang)
Short Descr. (type of lang)
Description (type of lang.)

etc.....
One more thing: Why do you need so complicated type of copy -paste via Change of languages (instead of import) ? Please let me know.

Behaviour is simple. If I copy a product and I change the language I am running the store (for example, because I am reviewing any typos in other languages) and I paste the product in another category because I want it there too, I just want the correct data for each language to be pasted into that language. Right now in this situation the data pastes wrong. For example if the product was copied running the shop in Spanish, and then I switch to English, the spanish data gets pasted into the English fields, that is what I consider a bug.

I don't use the feature too much, it just happened to me while copying some products that were simple (I thought import/export would take me longer than just copying and pasting, anyway I thought that's what the copy/paste buttons were for).

I often change the language I am running the store in just to make sure the content integrity is correct in all languages. Anyway, there is no hurry on this, I just thougt I would let you know because it is a bug: the languages are not pasted correctly when switching languages between the copy & paste actions.

Could you demonstrate your copy-paste via Remote Session ? ( TEamViewer )
I'll contact you by email.
