It would be very useful to be able to impor this field, especially when migrating from other e-commerce solutions and having to transfer products. Right now I have to fix this manually with sql updates. But it would be a lot more handy if it could just be imported, there is no reason I can see that would be an obstacle.

Those vital fields have been discussed by our team
Those fields are not allowed for editing in PrestaShop backend.
But you are right- this option if very useful for Store migration.
