Additional filter when importing products

Additional filter when importing products

The problem:

When importing products to the database (sortiment) there are multiple purchase source or wholesale/distribution channel, not just only one.
Many of these distribution channels send the actual pricelists and product sortiments by manufacturer (ie: SONY, Asus, Sennheiser etc. pricelists one by one)

The problem is if you switch on this filter, this will disable or delete all products that ARE NOT made by that particular manufacturer pricelist that you import.

So in these step, there should and MUST be a filter where you can set additional condition, most importantly filter for a manufacturer attribute (adding for more attribute even better to filter for any specific attribute). To let the other products as they are, and this setting to out-of-stock or disabling ONLY affect on that products which are withing this attribute filter.

This is not just a cool feature, but it is a MUST for synchronizing multiple pricelists from different sources to block EOL products and add new ones.

These days there are so many products and products changes everyday, this is impossible to manage manually, and the basic possibility is simply not enough.

Hello David,

Thank you for your suggestion

We can offer you to use the Custom SQLs after import - in this case, the SQL could be modified to your needs.
Please open the Custom SQL section, find there the 'Delete products not in file' SQL, and save it to the file. Now please click to 'Add a new' SQL, and load the saved file there. After that, you can modify the SQL based on your needs. Please note, that some technical skills are needed for that, so please contact us via e-mail, so we could help you with that.
After the SQL is updated, please make sure that it is Linked to the Import (check the attachment for details)

Hello

This seems really complicated to me, with massive fail possibilities. Even screwing up the whole database.
If someone is not a programmer, does not want to mess around with SQL. Mainly every time when a different pricelist arrives. We need this filter simply added there with dropdown menus.
