It would be useful for certain types of business to allow QR codes to be scanned into inventory.
In this use case, operator would generate a QR code with supplement data they need (e.g. expiry date, weight, lot number).
When scanning the code, the app would read supplement data and create variants of existing products based on selected attributes, and enter data for others.
This way product variants for products where weight routinely varies (food industry) would accurately reflect actual inventory pieces.
The code could be used in POS and search modes to locate exact product variant.
