I currently cannot find items that are Visible/Available but marked 'Out of Stock' without searching in the Magento web interface.
This is a condition that can easily be created on accident, and should be able to be resolved via bulk update. However the Stock Status (not to be confused with 'Status') does not appear to be visible in updates, searches, filters, etc...
This attribute needs to be added to both search and update interfaces.

We are going to implement such feature in new version of program - Store Manager for Magento Enterprise Edition.
According to terms of implementation - near to first quarter 2015.
