As we all understand, suppliers will secure their XML-feeds! Today chatted about this and I'm surprised that Store Manager can't handle these URLs?

To access a secured XML feed, one can use the standard [http://user:password@URL] anywhere. I guess, this should be in the shortlist to develop ..

Hello Marco.
I've just tested import of products via this link - https://www.site.com/file1.csv
It works fine.
See screenshot - http://screencast.com/t/URS9Kl9Gtt4C
Another thing - you have special format of link here - [http://user:password@URL]

In this case we need to implement support of such format.
I'll try to discuss about this suggestion with our development team before next Release.

According to our Policy, we implement a new features according to the volume of customer votes.

I'm sure, import of CSV (from unsecured server/link) works fine. Issue is about an XML feed, from a URL that requires authentication.

As said, in default one uses ' (http://username:password@http://www.site.com)', that works fine in any browser, but not in Store Managers import wizard.
