What is HTML output ? Its Simple html code with generated table (with inline css) with thumbs, urls, prices and short description of all products from dedicated small catalog from PDF creator .
Then you would take this block of code and paste in into youre email client ( or professional on-line mailing app as Php List that i use) and voila - you have created weekly e-commerce mailing with lets say 6 new / hot products in two rows in under minute without manualy coding of tables and manualy creating of thumbnails and manualy craft specifics css for all various email clients !
Since email commerce is still biggest selling point (beside organic seo traffic) this would be worth same amount of money as is current posibillity of automatic PDF catalog creation (in my view).
Right now i alreaty use screenshot of created pdf and put this creenshot into email, but this way i cant create links to products in store ;(

But in this case we need to generate one folder with images, css, js etc...
All you need to transfer those file to web-site.
It's useful for landing pages or small site, but...
we do you need such organization of data if you have ready to use Store Engine.
I guess, 1 product generation is more interesting.
For example I want to generate nice features table for product according to template.
I'll paste HTML of nice HTML formatted long descriptions to newsletter, blog, etc...

JS: There shuld be no JS inside this generated email ( email clients dont like JS i think)
CSS: css MUST be inline (inside html, not external)
There are some rules for good product email: no div, no js, only table and only inline css
By "good" email i thint that such email look more or less same on all clients ( gmail, thunderbird, outlook ...)

Here's a summery of what I've learned so far.:
Use in-line CSS: Styles aren't always supported.
Use table layouts: I know, but div layouts are css dependent and many of the email clients can't cope.
Don't use rowspan: This causes weird spacing issues.
Don't use background images: Support for these is limited.
Style image tags with "display:block": This fixes weird spacing issues with hotmail.
If using multiple tables nest them in one parent table: This stops more weird spacing issues.
Don't use Javascript: Again not supported very well.
Make sure your email is legible with no images: The user may not load them.
Provide an online version and link to it: This lets users see the intended content, even if their email client is terrible.
Test, test, test: Just because it works in one email client doesn't mean it works in others. A big got ya is Outlook 2007. It uses word to render HTML (sigh).

- i cant use html created from magento - is too complex for email clients (to display 100 % on all platforms) , it will display broken emails in various clients ( since emails works with inline css - magento uses linked css files and other problems ...
Basicly for email must be simple HTML with inline CSS ant only tables layout
