In Magento it is possible to set a default value for attributes which is useful to make adding products less work.
Unfortunately the default Magento attributes like 'status', 'tax class' you cannot alter. It would be amazing is Mag Manager could provide possibility though to set default value for these Magento attributes (like status: Enabled, tax class: taxable goods).

My guess would be that the easiest and most intuitive way is to add a row of checkboxes next to the attributes in the 'new product' window.
If you check the checkbox (with for example 'visibility') the Mag Manager will use that value e.g. 'Catalog, Search' for now on as default for every new product.
Of course this is just a suggestion:

Right now we are working on Magento 2 support and special Store Manager module for a backend.
It's reasonable to reopen your suggestion after official Release.
Please don't forget for this suggestion.
