You are right, this is very useful feature for PDF Catalog Addon.
Right now we are going to finish current Release of Addon with a lot of enhancements and improvements.
It'll be reasonable to discuss this suggestion after New Year holidays.
So, I'll add this task in our To-do list. :-)
