Hi There,

I've been using Store Manager for Magento for sometime and I work alot with XML files as they are far better to work with than CSV, TXT files.

Because XML Schemas work with almost any common program such as MS excel, SQL mapping tools, etc it would be far easier and totally awesome to be able to export all the data in to a simple to use XML schema to us with other programs.

Also having XML with a CDATA attribute for the Description areas that contain HTML code would be brilliant because CSV and TXT files break with additional HTML characters in it.

Having the 3 main data formats (XML, CSV, TXT) included in Store Manager would be a great feature and time saver too.

Cheers,
Joe

CSV format is supported by all software.
XML format is different for any supplier or reseller,
It depend on what delimiter you want to escape text in CSV.

Ok, let's wait for customer votes. Right now we have 0 votes and 1 comment only for this feature.

Hi Sergiy,

I agree CSV is supported by all software but when dealing with HTML it can cause problems because CSV wasn't built with having to manage large amounts of HTML content from webpages/product pages in todays online world.

Regardless of what delimiter you use almost all of them can be found in content with HTML and CSS coded elements in it.

XML is a very versatile format for managing large databases with good quality content.

Please Store Manager customers vote to include this feature.

Cheers,
Joe

I don't want to install extra extension just for exporting xml for shopping comparision websites like Google Merchant etc. It would be great if Magento Manager has a property for exporting xml flexibly and also can be saved as configuration each format as user defined like xml for google shop, xml for amazon, xml for yandex etc...

You are right Ahmed,
this is reasonable suggestion.
I've added it in our future To-do plan.

How about implementation of this option ?
I guess - we can start this task closer to February - March.
Please refresh this task after January

When I install an extension, sometimes it may crush my Magento and I want minimum extension installed. I want to do such staff with Magento Manager as external. When you search on google as "magento xml feed export", you will see many extensions. It may be used for both affiliate business and also shopping comparisons, comission junction etc.
all are asking xml

Following on from this long awaited feature request

I addition to the comments on http://support.emagicone.com/457828-XML-export

XML import and Export is a fundamental requirement for todays applications such as Store Manager.

Like Ahmet states XML is used my many merchant applications for syndicating product data.

Not only that XML is a much easier way to manage data.

The XML needs to be flexible and have the ability to support multiple formats.

We also need to be able to create simple XML import/export files too.

Just look at http://mirasvit.com/magento-extensions/advanced-product-feeds-generator.html these guys create a google Merchant Feed creator but it only does merchant feeds and only generates the files.

If you have the ability to create a store backup of 10,000 SKU's then the restore process would be so much easier than with CSV.

This should be a priority for such a powerful piece of software like yours.

Cheers,
Joe

I see, There are a lot of extenstion for Magento,
But we have one benefit in this case -you don't need to install them on each Store to operate like this.
our customer will get after purchase - 1 Store Manager - a lot of store Connections with such features for each store. :-)
common customer will get after purchase 1 extension - 1 Magento Store

I'm going to be doing our first integration of Magento 2 with Infor's ION this summer. Without a way to connect to their XML connectors, I'm afraid you will take Store Manager out of the catalog management role.

Hello, John!
Right now Store Manager for Magento exports to CSV, txt files.
XML Export feature was added to our future to-do list.
As a quick decision to use standalone converters CSV to XML if you need this feature right now.

P.S. John. Do you want to discuss the integration of XML export for Store Manager + ERP ? Please let me know.
