At the moment the ICEcat Integration addon maps by default the ICEcat Short description to the Magento Short description attribute, but the ICEcat Marketing text to the Magento Description attribute. In many cases this gives an inappropriately long description text depending on where the Magento description attribute is displayed (especially if "add product features to description" is ticked). A good feature would be to add an "attribute mapping" step to the Icecat Addon wizard so that any ICEcat attribute can be mapped to a specific Magento attribute for example as is done in the "advanced settings" for the manufacturer attribute. I understand this would not be possible for individual attributes within the ICEcat "Specs" which are used to add the "product features", in the store manager, but they too could be assigned to an individual attribute (e.g. one called "specification") so that they would appear in the standard Magento "additional Information" area instead of below the description.

Yep, this is a good feature also if you want to allow your Magento customers to compare products. If specs are mixed/inserted in description, comparison is not possible.

This add-on does not get much attention from eMagic.
The previous update was Version: 1.1.7.147 from 04/24/2015 which is 2 years ago.
We use this a lot but it is getting very slow with old technologies.
Some update with threading/async programming will be great.
