Translating trick requested...

Dear Support staff,
please don't blame on me for "trick" requests... they indeed are suggestions for new and interesting features a program called STORE MANAGER should have...

Actually if such features are present and/or its results might be archieved in any other way with actual MSM features, well, I would be happy to know...

I've came across the need to track down items which might have been left over while translating their name and descriptions into different languages...
It seems to me that it's not possible to list WHICH items have been translated and which ones not yet... not even in a readable list (not looking for a filter in this case, just to be able to read different languages in the main grid...).

Or is there any mean of doing this ?

Thank you.
Michele

Hello Michele!
I can solve this problem for you.
Give me you Crowdin login and translation project.
I'll change your status to profreader.
In this case you can filter translated words and phrases.

Sergiy,

my fault... it is not a matter of translating MAGENTO STORE MANAGER, which I prefer using in ENGLISH, go figure (less hassle understanding what others did not really understood...).

I was referring to the fact that I would need to be able to find STORE articles which have left behind when they were translated into different SHOP languages...

These are usually showed in articles details pages, on the third and following tabs...

I think they are similar to CUSTOM ATTRIBUTES, when it comes to have them showed in the main grid list.

Sorry for the confusion, the question remains...

Dear Sergiy,
my question is still there anyway: is there any other solution to be able to get a "list" of different languages descriptions ?

Or will this be present in the future releases, as for custom attributes ?

Thank you.

Hello Michele!
I didn't quite catch what do you mean exactly :-(
You can look at available languages in Product Window - see language tab - (screenshot)

Give me screenshots - what sections do you mean.

Hi Sergiy,

the screenshot of what I mean does not actually exist: that's what I was looking for...

Let me try to explain it again.

When I have thousands of items for sale in the shop, it happens they are loaded into different sessions, and it may happen that someone forgets to enter translations, or just enter a wrong one, or just leave it empty (which is indeed the main language one then...).

To be able to track the above problems, it would be nice to have the chance to be able to see the fields which might be translated in a GRID FORM, more or less like the MAIN GRID which Magento Store Manager presents on items opening.

This way, having a list, fields to be fixed would appear in a much more easy way, instead of moving from item to item with the arrows available at the bottom (which require lot of time and move to the main page every single time).

Or is there any other way this might be done ?

Another way would be to export the database, work on it externally and then reimporting it all...
Or to edit the needed fields within MAGENTO... which might look even faster at the moment...

But this is against Store Manager "key-points"... or am I wrong ?

Thank you.

You can change language by switching Magento Store View.
It is not possible to combine all together in one product grid for languages.
Please look at Magento backend.
All you need is to switch Store View to get necessary language.

THANK YOU SERGIY !!!

THIS IS THE TRICK I NEEDED TO BE ADDRESSED TO...

Unfortunately there are so many aspects involved in managing Magento that many times (not always !) solutions are under user eyes, without being recognized too...

This makes moving amongst items quicker, even if it is not yet possible to have DESCRIPTION and SHORT DESCRIPTION on the main grid yet...
Let's hope on the next version capabilities.

In the meanwhile, thanks a lot again.
