Automatic Sort order for Categories and Attributes

I really like the additional feature that you've implemented for automatically assigning sort order to the products within a category.

It would be really useful if you could implement this for attribute options, and categories also.

It would also be very helpful if you can add an option to sort products by additional attributes. For example, it would be good to specify what extra attributes to show on the product list, like Manufacturer/Brand, so the user could filter by this.
