We do store backups prior to upload. During the Product Import step, 'Generating backup script.' takes upwards of an hour (http://screencast.com/t/6VYdTby5XE2N). If we backup manually, this is lost time :/

Hello Pavel,
it depens on Database size and connection speed.
In this case we can't speed up backup time.

Give me connection to your store or full backup - we'll try to investigate you backup speed from our side.
p.s. please don't publicate your dump here - you'll be able to contact me via email.
Please let me know if you are interested in this test.

We have looked at your Database sizes. According to huge size this is normal behavior. of backup process.
Just for test - please try to backup whole DB by WorkBench. The Result will be the same in this case.
I'm talking about: products, customers, orders, billing and shipping address.

Hi Sergey,
Is there a way to opt out of backup if we are doing it daily ourselves. The power of your software is for large stores. Uploading 200k SKUs will take us many months with forced backing up.

Thanks,
Pavel

If you'd like to speed up backup speed, you should use native server tool in this case.
It seems you have backup manager in the Admin Panel.

Hi Sergiy,
I meant, when I'm uploading, the initial steps in the product upload is a "Generating backup script" that takes a very long time. More than an hour for my uploads.

I wanted to opt out since I do my own backups before uploads.

Thanks,
Pavel

You have more then 2 000 000 rows.
It's normal speed of import for such huge number or data.

According to my information, you are working with Ira right now.
Please follow the instructions from Ira to adjust execution speed.
