When a product search is performed, products with 0 quantity avaialble are struck out by default. Because Magento isn't managing our inventory the search shows our products with a line through them on searching.

Strike-through products are available by default if you have q-ty=0
In next Release you'll be able to control this behavior in Store Manager by Preference window (tick check box)
All you need is update Store Manager after Release.
