After I discovered this function is not yet implemented I have bought a plugin to duplicate categories. A workaround would be to export all products with category paths. And then with notepad+ replace all storeview name and import the CSV again. Then the category is duplicated as well.

Duplicating categories can be for SEO purposes. So you can change the category and description and stil have the same products attached to them without adding those products again manually.

I'll not be able to generate identical categories with the same URL by Magento Back-end.
In this case it's better to duplicate categories in the same thread with unique ID and URL, for example - LCD, LCD-2, LCD-3 etc...

Right now we have copy-paste of products in Store Manager.
Let's wait for votes for this suggestion.
