Import of configurable product for Magento Store Manager

When a SKU is created simple (product type) rather than configurable, then it stays always in "simple product" even if in the CSV file the update is specifying that it must be now "configurable".
The only way I found to solve the problem is to delete the product and the reload it.
Please modify your software as soon as possible to be able to change for "simple" to "configurable" when updating the data.
Moreover it seems interesting to add a new functionality in the import wizard. "Fucntion : Delete all products listed in file"
